Are these original photos?
Yes. They are all taken from our professional photographer. You will only find these pictures at Frame The Alphabet.
Do you offer colored photographs?
Currently we only offer black & white photos and Sepia photos.
Can I submit photographs?
In order to ensure quality and that our pictures can only be uniquely found at Frame The Alphabet, we do not use pictures others have submitted.
What kind of paper are the photos printed on?
All photos are printed in a professional lab on top quality photo paper, and the color quality is also inspected on every picture to ensure to quality.
What are the final frame dimensions?
All frames are 39.5 inches in length x 15.5 inches in height x 1 inch in depth. See our “Create Now” page to see more frame info. You will find more frame info on the “Create Now” page.
What size are the pictures?
The size of your pictures is determined by the number of letters in your custom frame. Picture sizes are as follows: 8x10 (3-4 letters), 5x7 (5-6 letters), 4x6 (7-8 letters), and 3.5x5 (9-11 letters).
What type of wood is used in your frames?
All frames are made out of REAL pine wood. They have a very smooth finish with a fine-textured surface. They readily accept nails and hangers. We provide a classy finish and look in each frame.
What type of mat boards do you use?
You may choose from our black, standard, white-core, bevel-cut mat boards, or our white, standard, white-core, bevel-cut mat boards.
Do you use glass or plastic?
Neither. We use a material called styrene. Below are the details:
What is styrene?
Properties
Styrene is a type of thermoplastic and comes in a flexible sheet that is .035 of an inch thick. It is used as an alternative to glass in our picture frames.
Benefits
Styrene weighs roughly half as much as glass, and is more shatter resistant than glass. These two factors can greatly reduce shipping costs. If humidity is a concern for the integrity of the frame's contents, styrene is the material of choice. It is a better insulator than glass and is less likely to accumulate condensation.
Care & Cleaning
Glass and styrene should both be cleaned before they are showcased. While glass can be cleaned with a glass cleaner, styrene should only be cleaned by water or a soft cloth, not solvent.
Why is styrene offered instead of glass?
Larger frames with glass are fragile and require special handling during packing and shipping. For safety and liability reasons, we prefer not to ship our framed art with glass. Doing so would decrease the chance of your frame arriving to you in perfect condition.
How do I hang my frame?
Each frame is shipped with a "sawtooth hanger".
A saw-tooth hanger is nailed into the back of a frame at the top center. It is the easiest of the hanging options to install, making it a popular choice for basic framing projects.

Can I just purchase the photographs?

What if I want more than 11 photos?
We currently cannot produce more than 11 photos in each frame.
Will you send me an e-mail after I order?
Yes, you should receive an e-mail confirmation within 24 hours of your order. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see it.
Can I order by phone?
Please call our office at 865-247-8224 or email at FrameTheAlphabet@comcast.net if you desire to place an order by phone. Make sure to let us know when you would be available for us to return your call and process your order over the phone. Please be sure to leave a number where you can be easily reached, have your credit card available, and a general idea of which pictures you would like.
Can I have my order rushed?
We can rush production of your order for a $25 fee. All rushed orders will be shipped within 2 business days. Just click on the “rush order” button during the checkout process. See “shipping information” below for shipping rates and times.
Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?
Frame The Alphabet is 100% secure and is a safe site for the use of all credit cards.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, on the home page, click on “Purchase Gift Certificates” to print a redeemable gift certificate for any occasion. To redeem gift certificates, click on “Redeem Gift Certificates” and follow the prompts.
What is your return policy?
Contact us immediately! Do not file a claim with UPS yourself. We handle all claims for our customers. If the product is not damaged, you may return it within 10 days of receiving it. There will be a 10% restocking charge and you will forfeit shipping costs. If the product is damaged upon arrival, we will replace it free of charge. We must be notified within 10 days of the delivery date of the item if it is damaged. Otherwise, the item will not be replaced.

Can I pay with a check through the mail?
Yes, but we have to wait until it clears before we can begin production on your order..

Once shipped, how long will my order take to arrive?
You will choose 1 of 3 options in the checkout process. We offer 1-5 days, 6-10 days, & 11-15 days. If you need it quicker please call our office at 865-247-8224.
Do you ship internationally?
If you live in the 48 U.S. states you will have the options of $15.00, $19.99, & $29.99. If you live in Canada, Alaska, or Hawaii the options are $29.99 & $39.99.
How do you ship your orders?
We ship via UPS.
Is there a tracking number for my order?
You will receive an email from UPS with a tracking number when your order has shipped. Sometimes the email goes to the spam folder.
